Catalog# C456 Source HEK293 Description Recombinant Human Tissue Inhibitor of Metalloproteinases 1/TIMP-1 is produced by our mammalian expression system in human cells. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Cys24-Ala207) of HumanTIMP1 fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus. Names Metalloproteinase Inhibitor 1, Erythroid-Potentiating Activity, EPA, Fibroblast collagenase Inhibitor, Collagenase Inhibitor, Tissue Inhibitor of Metalloproteinases 1, TIMP-1, TIMP1, CLGI, TIMP Accession # P01033 Formulation Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution of 20mM PB, 150mM NaCl, pH 7.2 Shipping The product is shipped at ambient temperature. Reconstitution Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting.
It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 μg/ml.
Dissolve the lyophilized protein in 1X PBS.
Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.Storage Lyophilized protein should be stored at < -20°C, though stable at room temperature for 3 weeks.
Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 4-7°C for 2-7 days.

Also mediates erythropoiesis in vitro; but, unlike IL-3, it is species-specific, stimulating the growth and differentiation of only human and murine erythroid progenitors. Known to act on MMP-1, MMP-2, MMP-3, MMP-7, MMP-8, MMP-9, MMP-10, MMP-11, MMP-12, MMP-13, and MMP-16. TIMP-1 does not act on MMP-14.
